In the morning of day 3 of the lens based media rotation, we were told to print our six images we produced in our SDS day. Seb and Chris wanted us to change the story in a new that it is interesting with more struggles, back story to the characters and different way of angles.
During this process I was very confused and out of ideas of how to change a basic story, Chris gave me advice to come up reason to why the minion will confront the bully and some twist to the story, I still felt like this story wouldn't work well but I tried my best to make it exciting.
We were then put into groups of six to critic and give ideas and suggestions to improve everyone's stories and I found it helpful and interesting by working with new people and have different feedback as it helps me look at it differently.
NEW STORY
- Everyday two bullies will be at the school corridors bunking lessons to pick on whoever passes by (The leader of the two (Scott) is very mean and likes to order his friend (Bill) to do everything)
- Scott tells Bill about his plan to use his gun to shoot the first person he sees, however mentally Bill thinks it's a terrible idea because it's a dangerous weapon and scared to go to prison, but does nothing because he knows it wouldn't stop Scott
- As soon as the conversation finished, someone walks along corridors and Scott set his target on him and confront him
- Scott pushes the target and pulls out the gun infront of the target, at this time Bill is thinking whether to stop as it's too dangerous and over the top but doesn't want Scott to think little of him
- Bill runs and goes infront of the target and tries to physically stop to prevent it happening
- In the end Scott pulls the trigger and it was a fake toy gun, leaving both Bill and the target confused
Frame 1 - In their normal environment at the school corridors bunking lessons
Frame 2 - Scott tells Bill his idea of using a gun on the first person he sees, Bill is hesitate about the plan and doesn't like the idea
Frame 3 - Scott and Bill spot a potential target walking along the corridor
Frame 4 - Confronting the target, Scott pulls out the gun and points it at the scared target
Frame 5 - Bill rushes in and stands infront, protecting the target
Frame 6 - Discover it was a fake gun leaving Bill and target confused
The use of 'Mions' and illustrations are appealing, but you should you need to explain your storyline more by adding to it as I find the story quite confusing.
