Day 3: Timeline

TIMELINE INTO THE COURSE SO FAR

A timeline is a way of displaying a list of events in chronological order, timeline is useful because it will allow me to reflect on past events and evaluate each exercise easily. I will be creating a timeline based on the events and work I have done over the past week, this will include my self-direct studies, museum trips and studio taught days.

To create my timeline I will be using the medium of fine liners because adds colour to make it vibrant and exciting and also I am able to had small details and little sketches.

I wanted the timeline to be very colourful and fun to follow each event/work, I chose to use pacman as a checkpoint(?) or a storyteller to 'tell' you about what happened during that day. Each pacman shows the date of when it occured and one pacman leads to other. So to start my timeline I begin with Monday 2nd September where I was introduced with the theme of the course and to begin with my starting points, I was told to chose ten items to represent my past and present. I done some little illustration to fill up the page and give a visual image of what I brang. The little words surrounding the specific event with show words that are associated with the event, e.g. feelings, materials I used and experiences.

This was when I was in the middle of Tuesday 3rd September, I note down what I did in my SDS time and using fun colours and different fonts to make it interesting and taking advantage of making my timeline the way I want it to be. So on 03/09 I set up my blog and done my first entry about the ten items.

The pictures below illustrate the V&A Museum and the Serpentine Gallery and the exhibitions I went to and wrote the experience I had and how I felt on that day.
